Eric Paschall became the latest Villanova Wildcat to be selected in the National Basketball Association Draft on Thursday night at the Barclays Center.

Paschall, a native of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., who transferred to Villanova in 2015 after a year at Fordham, was selected as the 41st overall selection by the Golden State Warriors. He becomes the seventh Villanova player to hear his name called at the NBA Draft in the past four seasons (Darrun Hilliard in 2015; Josh Hart in 2017;
Mikal Bridges,
Donte DiVincenzo,
Omari Spellman, and
Jalen Brunson in 2018 and now Paschall).

In 2018-19, Paschall was a first team All-BIG EAST and All Philadelphia Big Five selection in helping lead the Wildcats to a 26-9 overall record that included the BIG EAST regular season and tournament titles. He averaged 36.1 minutes, 16.5 points and 6.1 rebounds while starting all 35 games as a senior.

Paschall is the 14
th Villanova player selected by the Warriors franchise, which originated in Philadelphia before moving west and the first since Clarence Smith in 1971.

A total of 61 Wildcats have been selected in the National Basketball Association Draft. Four of those, including Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Arizin, were "territorial picks" by the Philadelphia Warriors in the 1950s.
