VILLANOVA, PA. – The Villanova Wildcats will hold an open practice on Saturday, August, 10, at Ocean City High School in Ocean City, N.J. The practice, which will begin at 10:30 a.m., is free and open to the public.
 
Following the workout, there will be an autograph session with selected Wildcat players at the Music Pier on the boardwalk beginning at 12:30 p.m.
 
With preseason camp in full swing and the season opener just over two weeks away, the Wildcats announced their team captains for the 2019 season.  Senior running back Justin Covington (Bronx, N.Y.), senior safety Chucky Smith (Newbury Park, Calif.) and junior linebacker Forrest Rhyne (Waynesboro, Pa.) were voted captains by their teammates.  The trio will take on a leadership role within the team as Villanova prepares to embark on its 122^nd season of varsity football. 
 
The Wildcats will open the 2019 season on Saturday, August 24, with a road game at Colgate. Kickoff is set for noon and the game will be televised live on CBS Sports Network.
