The Wildcats are set to open its Fall schedule up tomorrow when it hosts the 9th annual Villanova Invitational Friday through Sunday at the West Campus Courts. Teams competing in the match include Nova, Colgate, Saint Joseph's, Case Western, Haverford, Loyola (MD), Lafayette and Rider.
Play starts at 12 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Villanova is looking to start off its season after making it to the Big East Tournament last season. The team added talented freshman
Justin Suarez,
Alex Kim and Daniel Cheng in the offseason.
The Wildcats will be led by experienced senior
Dylan Flanagan who went 9-6 overall and 2-4 in conference play in Spring 2019. Sophomore
Charlie Schuls, who went 10-10 in singles and 7-4 with Flanagan in doubles last season, brings his experience from his freshman season to help his team make another postseason run this year. The team is led by Head Coach
Brad Adams who is in his twelfth season at the helm of the program.
Last season, the Wildcats took the top 3 places at the Villanova Invitational.
