Villanova University sophomore forward Maddy Siegrist (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week, in addition to earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts in wins over La Salle and Drexel.
 
In the two games, Siegrist averaged 21.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per contest, while shooting .484 from the field.
 
Her best effort of the week came in the 78-52 win over La Salle when she had 31 points to go with 13 rebounds, a career-high five assists, two steals and a block.  In Sunday's victory over Drexel, Siegrist registered 11 points and nine rebounds.
 
After six games, Siegrist is averaging 22.8 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per contest and she is shooting .539 from the field (55-of-102).
 
Siegrist and the 6-0 Wildcats return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 16, with a road game at Providence.
