VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Wildcats (2-4) are looking to get their season back on track when they travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts, for a matchup with Harvard (0-1 Ivy).
Villanova is coming off three straight home losses, the most recent coming at the hands of St. Joseph's on Wednesday night where the team fell 16-9.
This is just the second ever meeting between the Crimson and the Wildcats. The last time the two teams met was in 1998, when Villanova fell at home to Harvard 7-3.
KEY CONTRIBUTORS
Junior attack Brittany Bruno remains the top point getter for the Wildcats in 2020, leading the team with 26 points off 16 goals and 10 assists.
Senior attack Katie Comerford is second on the team with 18 points off 14 goals and 4 assists.
For draw controls, sophomore Caroline Curnal leads the team with 18.
On defense, senior Maggie Jennings has stepped up in her new position by recording 15 ground balls through the first six games.
Sophomore Sydney Frank has contributed by tallying 13 caused turnovers. She has recorded 44 in less than two full seasons as a Wildcat.
Senior midfielder Kim McDonough has stepped up as contributor on offense in the last two games, combining for three goals and two assists.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
The Crimson has won two of their first five games to start the season, with their victories coming at home against Niagara and Boston University.
Against BIG EAST opponent, then-No.10 Denver, Harvard fell 15-6.
Leading the team on offense are attacks Charlotte Clark and Madison Conklin who each have a team-high 12 points.
The top-two goal scorers on the team are Hannah Keating and Tessa Queri who have ten goals apiece.
In the net for Harvard is junior Grace Rotondo who has started every game this season. Rotondo leads the team in groundballs with 18.
Sophomore midfielder Grace Hulsander is the team's draw control leader at 25.
