VILLANOVA, PA. – Villanova University head football coach
Mark Ferrante today announced the Wildcats 2021 fall football schedule. Villanova will play eight CAA contests and three non- conference games for an 11-game slate.
The Wildcats will open the fall campaign on Sept. 4 with a road tilt at Lehigh, before returning to Villanova Stadium for back-to-back home games versus Bucknell on Sept. 11 and Richmond in the CAA opener on Sept. 18.
On Sept. 25, Villanova travels to Happy Valley to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the final non-conference contest of the season. This will be the first time that the Wildcats and Nittany Lions have met on the gridiron since the 1951 season.
Following a bye week on Oct. 2, the Wildcats hit the road for two straight road contests at James Madison (Oct. 9) and at Albany (Oct. 16). The remaining portion of the October schedule features home games against Rhode Island (Oct. 23) and William & Mary (Oct. 30).
The November schedule has Villanova playing two of its final three games away from home. After traveling to Elon on Nov. 6, the Wildcats return home to host Stony Brook on Nov. 13, before closing out the regular season at archrival Delaware on Nov. 20.
Villanova is currently preparing for a six game 2021 spring season that begins on March 6 with a road game at Stony Brook.
The 2021 Villanova Football season is presented by Independence Blue Cross.
