Villanova is scheduled to host the Butler Bulldogs on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in a BIG EAST Conference contest. The Wildcats enter play 11-3 overall and 6-3 in conference play, while Butler is 1-14 overall and 1-13 in league action. Tip-off at the Finneran Pavilion is set for 7 p.m., and the game can be seen live on the Big East Digital Network.

Tuesday night's contest versus Butler will be Villanova's first game in 13 days. The Wildcats last played on Feb. 3, when they tallied a 67-53 win over Providence. Villanova was on pause for the last two weeks due to COVID-19 issues within the program.

The game between Villanova and Butler will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams. On Jan. 31 in Indianapolis, the Wildcats earned a 90-53 victory over the Bulldogs. Sophomore forward
Maddy Siegrist scored a game-high 26 points and notched her eighth double-double of the season, while freshman
Lior Garzon added a season-best 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting for the Wildcats in the victory. Villanova knocked down a season-high 14 three-pointers and shot 52 percent (33-of-63) from the field on the afternoon. Jaia Alexander and Adika Okako had 14 points each for Butler, while Micah Scheetz added 10 points.

In the last three games, Villanova is 33-of-79 from three-point range for 41.7 percent. After going 10-of-25 (40.0%) from three versus Marquette, the Wildcats were 14-of-33 (42.4%) from long distance against Butler and 9-of-21 versus Providence. The 14 threes against Butler represent a season-high performance. This also marks the fourth time this year that Villanova has connected on double digit three-pointers. For the year, Villanova is 110-of-350 from long distance for 31.4 percent.

Siegrist has recorded a double-double in eight of the 14 games this year and she leads the BIG EAST in the double-double category. Siegrist has now tallied a double-double in 19 of her 45 collegiate games.

Villanova is led in scoring and rebounding by Siegrist who is averaging 22.7 ppg. and 10.4 rpg. Two other Wildcats are averaging double figures, including
Bridget Herlihy at 14.5 ppg., and
Sarah Mortensen who is scoring 12.6 ppg.
