NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference tonight announced the bracket and pairings for the 2021 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament presented by Jeep. Villanova (14-5 overall/9-5 BIG EAST) will be the five seed and will take on the No. 4 seed DePaul Blue Demons (14-7 overall/ 11-5 BIG EAST) at 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 6. The game can be seen live on FS2.

Mohegan Sun Arena, located in Uncasville, Conn., will host the conference postseason tournament for the first time, with games set for March 5-8.

With a win over DePaul on Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats would advance to the semifinal round on Sunday, March 7.

Saturday's quarterfinal game will be the second meeting of the season between Villanova and DePaul. The two teams met in Chicago on Jan. 4, when the Blue Demons tallied a 94-82 victory. This will be just the second time that the Wildcats and Blue Demons have met in the BIG EAST Tournament. In the semifinal round of the 2015 conference tournament, DePaul earned a 58-55 win over the Wildcats.
