Box Score Richmond, Va. – In a contested matchup, the Villanova Wildcats (1-8) surrendered a late goal to drop the afternoon match with the 24^th-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (8-2-2) on a neutral field in Richmond, Va.
 
The Wildcats squared off with the nationally ranked Chanticleers and confidently went into the half 0-0. The Villanova defense was on full display limiting Coastal Carolina to minimal scoring opportunities. Netminder Kent Dickey (Richmond, Va.) picked up four saves to keep the Wildcats close.
 
The Chanticleers struck late in the 74^th minute of the match when Emile Rzepecki dished out an assist to Connor Pugh for the lone goal of the match.
 
The Wildcats are scheduled to be back on the pitch Wednesday, March 31, when they host Connecticut at Higgins Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 ET.
