VILLANOVA, Pa. – After falling in the season opener to Georgetown, Villanova looks to get back on track as NJIT comes to town for a Friday meet starting at 4 p.m. at the Villanova Swim Complex.
This is the second straight season that has seen Villanova (0-1) take on the Highlanders (0-1) with the 'Cats winning last year's showdown 153-147 in Newark, N.J.
Jake McIntyre and Michael Ackert highlighted that meet as double event winners, taking the 500 and 1000 Free and the 1 and 3 meter dives, respectively.
Villanova had a pair of wins in Saturday's season opener against the Hoyas, splitting wins in diving and swimming.
Nicholas Jubilee posted a winning score in the 3 meter dives with a 266.93. The BIG EAST's reigning 200 Fly champion
Nolan Danus started his season as a 200 Fly victor, posting a winning time of 1:53.93 time that distanced him from the rest of the field by three seconds. All-told, Villanova had 14 top-three showings in the meet.
