Villanova returns home to the Finneran Pavilion on Wednesday evening to host the Georgetown Hoyas. The Wildcats enter play with a 12-3 overall record and a 3-1 BIG EAST mark, while the Hoyas are 8-6 on the year and 1-4 in league play. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

This will be the 72nd all-time between the schools. The Wildcats lead the series by a 47-24 count and have won 16 of the last 20 against the Hoyas.

After playing 11 of the first 15 games, including three of the first four BIG EAST games away from home, Villanova begins a stretch on Wednesday with four of its next five games to be played at the Finneran Pavilion. Following the date with Georgetown on Jan. 4, the Wildcats host Butler on Jan. 8, before traveling to DePaul on Jan. 11 then returning home to play St. John's on Jan. 14 and Xavier on Jan. 17. Villanova is currently 3-1 at home, 7-0 on the road and 2-2 in neutral site games.

In the NCAA statistics released on Monday, Jan. 2, Villanova's
Maddy Siegrist leads the country in scoring at 28.0 points per game. Drexel's Keishana Washington is second at 27.4 points per contest.  As a junior last season, Siegrist finished the year ranked second in the country in scoring at 25.3 points per contest.

Sophomore guard
Lucy Olsen has emerged as Villanova's second scorer this season. After 15 games, Olsen ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.9 points per game. She is third on the squad in three-point field goals with 24 and she leads the Wildcats in assists with 64. Olsen has scored double figures in 10 of the 15 games this season, including in six of the last seven contests. In two of the 10 games, she has reached the 20-point mark.
