NEW YORK – Villanova landed a pair of student-athletes on the All-BIG EAST lists that were unveiled by the league on Wednesday morning. Jackie Richards earned a spot on the second team list while Makayla Stadler earned third team honors.
 
The graduate duo packed an offensive punch for the Wildcats this season, leading the team in overall scoring with a combined 23 points and 11 goals. They also combined for five weekly honors throughout the 2023 campaign. These latest honors bring Villanova to 59 All-BIG EAST honorees since 1996 with 20 on the second team and four on the third team.
 
Transferring to the Main Line this season, Richards had a stellar campaign that saw her lead the Blue and White with 13 points and six goals, starting in all 18 games the 'Cats had this season. She led the offensive charge with 56 shot attempts, 22 of those on target which was also a team best. The Reading, Pa. native had a season-best outing in a 3-1 win over George Mason on Sept. 3, scoring four points on two goals. Half of her goal output on the year came in the month of September, netting all three goals on headers. The forward earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll accolades twice this season.
 
Stadler caps off her five-year career donning the Villanova jersey with her first postseason accolade. The graduate who split time at defender and forward this season made her presence known in each of her 16 starts on the season. She was second on the team with 10 points and five goals. The Glenview, Ill. native started her season with a bang, netting two goals in the 3-0 win at Temple on August 27. Her game-tying goal against Cornell on Sept. 17 helped the 'Cats bounce back from their first deficit of the season. That performance helped lead her to become the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Honorable Mention just a few days later. She totaled three weekly accolades this season, adding a BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll spot on August 28.
