VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova hosted its annual Blue-White Scrimmage Thursday night at Finneran Pavilion as it made its public debut in 2023-24.

A quartet of Wildcats was held out of the scrimmage due to injuries. All are considered day-to-day. That group included
Justin Moore (ankle);
Lance Ware (hamstring strain); and Jordan Dumont (knee soreness).
Trey Patterson remains sidelined while recovering from summer shoulder surgery.

"I thought it was a good test for our guys," said Wildcats' head coach
Kyle Neptune. "We had a great crowd and it's always good to be out there in front of the fans.

"I don't like to draw a lot of conclusions about this kind of scrimmage until I have had a chance to watch the film. But just the whole experience was great for the guys."

TJ Bamba led all scorers across the four games with 18 points.
Tyler Burton tallied 16 points to go with seven rebounds.

Tyler Burton helped the White team grab a 17-8 win in the first of four games of six minutes in length.

The teams were switched prior to each of the games.

In Game Two, the Blue jumped out to an 8-0 lead helped by a
Jordan Longino 3-pointer. But the White – led by
Eric Dixon's four points – scored the next seven points to narrow the gap to one point. Team White rallied to post a 12-10 win in this matchup.

The White team posted another win in Game 3, this one by the count of 19-10. And the White group claimed the final contest 12-8.
