Michael Corbi Earns Stats Perform Third Team All-America Honors

Villanova offensive lineman garners his second All-America accolade of the 2023 season

VILLANOVA, Pa.—Sixth year offensive lineman Michael Corbi (Annapolis, Md.) earned his second career All-America honor from Stats Perform when he was named to this year's third team in an announcement of the 2023 Stats Perform FCS All-American Team presented by Fedex Ground. Corbi was previously a second team Stats Perform All-American in 2021. He was previously named to this year's FCS All-American squad named by Phil Steele and the draftscout.com staff as a fourth team pick.
 
Corbi appeared in nine games this season as the Wildcats starting left guard. He was part of a Villanova offensive line that helped the team lead CAA Football and rank in the top 10 nationally in three different offensive categories. Entering the quarterfinal round of the FCS playoffs the Wildcats ranked third in the country in passing efficiency (163.04), eighth in total offense (442.1) and ninth in rushing offense (220.3). Villanova was also second in the CAA and 11th nationally in scoring offense (33.6). Final statistical rankings will be released after the conclusion of postseason play.
 
In the final season of his collegiate career Corbi made history with his fourth career All-CAA honor, including his third time being a first team all-conference pick. He joined former Wildcats stars Brian Westbrook and Ben Ijalana as the only offensive players in program history to garner three career first team all-conference accolades. Corbi was previously a first team All-CAA honoree in 2020 and 2021 to along with being a second team selection last year. He wound up starting 34 of the 41 collegiate games he played in.
 
Villanova has earned 42 All-America selections from Stats Perform since 1989. Corbi was one of 19 players from CAA Football recognized on this year's team in Tuesday's announcement.
