The No. 15 Villanova Wildcats return home on Saturday afternoon to take on the Seton Hall Pirates. Villanova enters play with a 21-4 overall record and a 12-2 BIG EAST mark, while Seton Hall is 15-9 on the year and 8-6 in league play. Tip-off at the Finneran Pavilion is set for 1 p.m.
Villanova is coming off an 83-52 win at Georgetown on Wednesday night. In the victory,
Maddy Siegrist led the way with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while
Kaitlyn Orihel tallied a career-high 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including a 4-of-5 effort from three-point range. The four triples tie a career-best effort. Sophomore guard
Lucy Olsen was the third Wildcat in double figures with 10 points to go with seven assists. Georgetown was led by Kristina Moore with 12 points and Kennedy Fauntleroy who had 11 points and eight rebounds. For the game, Villanova shot 46.3 percent from the floor (31-of-67), 40.0 percent from long distance (10-of-25) and 66.7 percent from the foul line (10-of-15), while the Hoyas were 21-of-66 from the field (31.8%), 3-of-15 from long distance (20.0%) and 8-of-13 from the charity stripe (61.5%). Villanova owned a 47-35 advantage on the backboards.
The Wildcats and Pirates will meet for the 73
rd time on Saturday afternoon. Villanova currently leads the all-time series by a 47-25 margin. The Wildcats have won 10 of the last 13 versus Seton Hall.
Villanova enters play on Saturday having won 19 of its last 20 home games. The Wildcats captured 11 straight home contests to finish the 2021-22 season and have won eight of nine at home to start this year. Under third-year head coach

Entering play versus Seton Hall, Siegrist ranks second on the BIG EAST Conference career scoring leaders list for regular season conference games only with 1,500 points. Former Boston College standout Sarah Behn (1989-93) owns the conference record with 1,546 points.
Sophomore center
Christina Dalce currently leads the BIG EAST in blocked shots with 58 for an average of 2.4 blocks per contest. This also ranks her 17th in the country in the blocked shots category. Dalce needs eight more blocks to set the Villanova single season blocked shot record. The record is currently owned by Lisa Ortlip who had 65 blocks during the 1978-79 season.
