VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova Swimming and Diving head coach
Rick Simpson announced the addition of six student-athletes to the men's roster for the 2023-24 class. This group of swimmers hails from as far as California to as close as the Philadelphia area with two staying in-state here in Pennsylvania.

Rick Simpson said. "They understand the Villanova way and will help make an impact on campus and on the future of Villanova Swimming."
Ben Tunila | Manhattan Beach, Calif. | Mira Costa High School
Winter Juniors Competitor
Tunila made his way to Texas to compete at Winter Juniors. He chose Villanova for the athletic and academic facilities available to him on campus.

Josh Seidman | Voorhees, N.J. | Eastern Regional High School
Juniors National Qualifier and State Runner-up
Seidman heads to the Main line as a Junior Nationals Qualifier and a runner-up at the New Jersey state championships. Academically, he has also been tabbed a Scholastic All-American. He says he chose Villanova for its combination of great academics and outstanding athletics. He wanted to be a part of a close-knit culture and positive atmosphere.

Max Christensen | Lebanon, Ohio | Springboro High School
State Finals Qualifier and Futures Qualifier
Christensen qualified for both the State Finals in Ohio and for Futures. Aside from the team and coaching staff, he chose Villanova because it presented him with the chance to not only grow athletically but academically, noting that it was the perfect mix over everything he was looking for.

Aiden Bunker | Murrysville, Pa. | Franklin Regional High School
All-American and Futures Qualifier
Hailing from the western side of the Keystone State, Bunker has been a Futures Qualifier, PIAA State Medalist, All-American and an ISCA Senior Cup Medalist. He chose Villanova because of the excellent academics, coaching staff, and close team camaraderie.

Winter Juniors competitor and Mexican Nationals Medalist
Guerrero has been a Mexican Nationals Medalist and has competed at the Winter Juniors. He chose Villanova because of the coaching staff and team environment he experienced when vising. He also highlighted the academics in the field he plans to study as well as getting to be a part of a tight-knit community with great values.
