VILLANOVA, Pa. – The defending BIG EAST runners-up will begin the road back to the conference championship in September as head coach Bridget Orchard announced the Villanova softball schedule for the fall of 2023.

Beginning the campaign will be an intersquad scrimmage in early September, with the 'Cats pitting blue against white at the VU Softball Complex on Sept. 3.

The first outside competition is a usual stop, as Orchard and the Wildcats make a return to her hometown of Binghamton, New York, to take on the Bearcats in two separate contests.

Two home weekends follow the travel to the Empire State, with VU hosting doubleheaders against Lehigh and Saint Joseph's in back-to-back weeks.

Villanova wraps up its fall slate with a visit to North Jersey, traveling to Essex County for matchups against Fairleigh Dickinson and Rutgers on October 1.
