VILLANOVA, Pa. – In conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference, Villanova today announced its complete 2023-24 Men's Basketball Schedule. The Wildcats, under second year head coach
Kyle Neptune, will play 20 BIG EAST regular season games in addition to the previously announced non-conference slate of 11 contests.
Villanova will open BIG EAST play with a pair of road contests at Creighton on Dec. 20 and at DePaul three days later. The Wildcats will then host three straight league affairs at Finneran Pavilion against Xavier (Jan. 3); St. John's (Jan. 6) and DePaul (Jan. 12).
The Wildcats are slated to host four BIG EAST matchups at the Wells Fargo Center, beginning with a clash with defending NCAA champion Connecticut on Jan. 20. Providence (Feb. 4), Seton Hall (Feb. 11) and Creighton (Mar. 9) will also meet the 'Cats at the Center. Additionally, Villanova will host UCLA in South Philadelphia on Dec. 9 and take part in the Philadelphia Big Five Classic there on Dec. 2.
The 2023-24 Wildcats will be led by returning standouts
Justin Moore and
Eric Dixon, both of whom played integral roles in helping Villanova reach the 2022 NCAA Final Four. Five newcomers – including four transfers – will also be on hand for the regular season, which gets underway Monday, Nov. 6 vs. American at Finneran Pavilion.
