NEW YORK – For the third time this season, Villanova goalkeeper
Hannah Dickinson has landed a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
All-told, Dickinson has been recognized by the league four times now this season, starting with Goalkeeper of the Week honors on August 26 before her string of weekly honor roll plaudits.
The Seattle, Wash. native was in goal for all 180 minutes of the team's 1-0-1 week, grabbing seven saves in that time. She anchored the Villanova defense in its 3-0 win over Marquette, holding the Golden Eagles without a goal in their seven shot attempts and saving the two that landed on frame. Back on the home pitch Sunday, she made five saves in the 0-0 draw with UConn to pick up her sixth solo shutout of the season.
This season, Dickinson is 5-5-5 this season. She is first in the league with 76 saves, landing her 48
th nationally, and is second with both six shutouts and a .844 save percentage, numbers that are good enough for 51
st and 32
nd in the nation, respectively.
Dickinson and the 'Cats are home again this Thursday as they host Georgetown at 3 p.m. for their final home game of the regular season.
