VILLANOVA PICKED SIXTH IN PRESEASON PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH

The Annual Media Day Was Held On Wednesday At Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference held its annual Media Day on Wednesday afternoon at Madison Square Garden where Villanova was picked to finish sixth in the preseason predicted order of finish with 56 points.
Connecticut was selected to win the conference championship with 100 points and 10 first place votes, while Creighton was second with 91 points and one first place vote.

Villanova returns four letterwinners from last year's team that went 22-13 overall and 11-7 in BIG EAST play. The Wildcats earned a bid to the inaugural WBIT where they advanced to the championship game before falling to Illinois.

The Wildcats tip-off the season on Sunday, Nov. 10, with a home game versus Wake Forest. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
