VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova Swimming and Diving head coach
Rick Simpson unveiled the 2023-24 schedule on Friday that features 15 head-to-head meets and one three-day event before heading into BIG EAST Championships. The Women start the season off against UConn at the Villanova Swim Complex on October 17
th. Both teams will face Georgetown to the Villanova Swim Complex on October 26
th.
This season the Wildcats will be hosting six meets at the Villanova Swim Complex. These meets will include NJIT for the men and Penn for the women. Both teams will face Providence and La Salle before they host Spintfest, which will also serve as senior day for the 'Cats on February 1
st.
The Wildcats will also be competing on the road at Rider and La Salle before they make their return to WVU Invitational for a three-day event. Last year the women placed fourth of 16 while the men finished seventh of 12 at this meet.
The BIG EAST Championship will take place in Geneva, Ohio from February 24-27. Live action from the week will be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by FloSports. Last season, the 'Cats had 20 ALL-Big East performers. The women's team won their eleventh consecutive, 16
th overall title while the men placed fourth.
