VILLANOVA, Pa – The Villanova men's swimming and diving team travels to Rider on Wednesday before returning home for a Friday meet against NJIT.
At Rider, diving will start at 5:30 p.m. with swimming starting at 6 p.m. Friday's meeting at the Villanova Swim Complex will start with diving at 4 p.m. and swimming at 4:30 p.m.
The Wildcats enter this meet after falling to the reigning BIG EAST champions Georgetown 151-149. The meet came down to the 400 free relay, where the 'Cats A team of

Gavin Jones was able to grab first but didn't have enough points to overtake the Hoyas. In their debut, freshman
Owen Nye finished first in the 1000 free and took runner-up in the 500 free while freshman
Melson Arquillano touched the wall first in the 100 fly and took second place in the 200 fly.
The last time the Wildcats faced the Broncs, the 'Cats fell short 156-128. Rider men's swimming and diving team is still searching for its first win of the season after falling to Seton Hall, Lehigh and MAAC conference rival Marist.
The Highlanders overcame the Wildcats in their meet last year 157-139. NJIT men's swimming and diving is off to a solid start through its first two meets of the season. The Highlanders beat Iona 79-3 in the season-opener before winning the NJIT Invitational over Howard and Saint Peters.
