The Villanova women's lacrosse team announced a 17-game schedule for the 2025 season, including nine home games at the Villanova Stadium. The Wildcats will be hosting the four team BIG EAST Championship from May 1-3.
 
The Wildcats are coming off of a 7-9 season in 2024. The 'Cats Head Coach Jill Batcheller will begin her fourth season leading the program alongside assistant coaches Kelsea Donnelly and Maddison Lesher. 
 
The team has 12 seniors returning "who have exemplified our core value of 'family' through their inclusivity, supportiveness, selflessness, and team-first mentality. We are incredibly fortunate to have this group of seniors guiding us this season—they've been instrumental in shaping the culture and direction of our program" said Batcheller.
 
Villanova will open its season on Saturday, February 8 at home against Binghamton at 10 a.m. and BIG EAST play will begin Saturday, March 22, when the Wildcats host UConn. The highlight of the schedule comes in March as the 'Cats will travel to California to play Stanford and UC Davis. They will also travel to play BIG EAST rival University of Denver to cap the regular season.
