DAVIDSON, NC – Villanova dominates Davidson 13-2 on the final day of the three-game series.
For the first four innings of the game, it was a back-and-forth affair. Villanova went up 2-0 in the second inning and Davidson responded with one run. Villanova added a score on a sac fly in the fourth, Davidson answered with a run in the bottom of the inning. After that it was all Villanova as they scored 10 unanswered runs to route Davidson 13-2 in the third game of the series.

- Five Villanova players recorded two or more RBIs on the day. This list includes Jack O'Reilly, Scott Shaw, John Whooley, AJ Hansen, Shane Solari, and Trent Toole.
- Coach Kevin Mulvey picks up his 100th career win as a coach of the Wildcats.
- Reliever Alec Sachais shut down Davidson after coming into a bases loaded situation and gave up no runs. He recorded two strikeouts in one inning pitched.
- Jack O'Reilly recorded his first multi-hit game of the young season, recording three hits on five at bats.
- Scott Shaw hit his second home run of the season for the Wildcats, tying for most on the team.
How It Happened
- AJ Hansen got the scoring started in the second for the Wildcats with a double to right center to score Scott Shaw, 1-0. In the same inning Shane Solari grounded out to the short stop, but John Whooley was able to score to give Villanova a 2-0 lead.
- Jed Howard reached on fielder's choice, scoring Jacob Friend to get Davidson on the board in the third inning, 2-1.
- In the fourth both teams traded runs. AJ Hansen flied out to center field, allowing Michael Whooley to score for Villanova, 3-1. Jacob Friend singled to left to score Jake Wilhoit from second, 3-2.
- Villanova scored eight runs in the sixth inning. Trent Toole doubled to left center scoring two runners, 5-2. A wild pitch and a walk scored two more runs for the Wildcats, 7-2. John Whooley singled to right field scoring two more runners to make the score 9-2. Another walk and a hit by pitch scored two more runners for Villanova, 11-2.
- Scott Shaw hit a two-run home run to right center to give Villanova a 13-2 advantage in the seventh.
