JOHNSON CITY, TN– Wildcats comeback halted as East Tennessee wins game two, 11-5.
East Tennessee had control of the game from the start, scoring four runs in the first inning. A response from Villanova did not come until the third where they scored from a ground out. After being down 9-2 going into the seventh inning, the Wildcats mounted a comeback hitting back-to-back home runs to cut the lead to four (9-5). However, the lead was too much for Villanova and they would fall 11-5.

How It Happened
- A wild pitch, single and sac fly scored three four runs for the Bucs in the first, 4-0.
- Cody Miller scored Richard Benitez on a fielder's choice, 5-0 in the second.
- Michael Whooley scored on a ground out by Trent Toole in the third, 5-1.
- Noah Gent doubled to left center in the fourth inning, scoring two for the Bucs, 7-1.
- Cody Miller scored on a sac fly, 8-1 in the fourth.
- Ryan McCarthy hit an RBI single to left field in the sixth, 9-1.
- In the seventh, Jack O'Reilly hit a solo home run and Michael Whooley hit a three-run home run to take the score to 9-5.
- A Ryan McCarthy single and a double by Lannantone scored two more for East Tennessee, 11-5.
