CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The spring premiere for the Villanova Rowing team came with a trio of sixth place Petite Finals finishes at the Doc Hosea Invitational on Saturday.
All three boats that launched onto the Cooper River finished sixth in the early heats, as well.
"I was proud of the team's flexibility and the way that they handled adversity today," Villanova head coach
Carissa Adams said. "We went into this regatta knowing that we were going to face tough competition. Our team has adopted the phrase 'we are either winning or learning' and today we left the racecourse having learned some important lessons. Every team will have poor performances and those that can bounce back and look forward with a positive attitude will find more wins. I am looking forward to hitting the water on Tuesday focused on the future because I believe it is bright."
