NEW YORK, N.Y. – Freshman draw specialist Emma Verhoest was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for her performance against Xavier on Saturday.

The Massachusetts native dominated in the draw circle, tying a Villanova all-time best with 16 draws won. The freshman's 84 draws won this season already ranks fourth in a Villanova single season and she has three games this season with double digit draw controls. She currently ranks 22nd in the nation with 6.46 per game.

Verhoest and the Wildcats look to continue this success when they host No. 12 Denver this Saturday at Villanova Stadium.
