VILLANOVA, Pa., - Villanova bolstered its backcourt for 2024-25 with the official addition of graduate transfer Jhamir Brickus, who spent the previous four seasons at La Salle, to its roster.
Â
Brickus, a 5-11 Coatesville, Pa., native scored 2,561 points at Coatesville Area High School before enrolling at La Salle. A four-year starter for the Explorers, Brickus played his first two seasons with current Wildcats' assistant coach

He notched a career-high 41 points in a Nov. 29 game against Temple. He is a career .374 shooter from beyond the 3-point arc, improving in each of his four seasons in that category.
Â
"Jhamir is a high-level decision maker, distributor, and scorer," stated Villanova head coach
Kyle Neptune. "He possesses some of the best traits of a Philly guard with his toughness and understanding of the game. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset to our team, and we're excited to welcome him to the Villanova family."
Â
Brickus is the second transfer guard to officially join the Wildcats in recent weeks. Tyler Perkins, 6-4, who enjoyed an outstanding freshman season at Penn in 2023-24, was officially added to the 2024-25 roster earlier this month.
