E's Back: Dixon to Return in 2024-25

Wildcats' Leading Scorer to use final seaosn of eligibility at Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa., - Villanova forward Eric Dixon (Willow Grove, Pa.), today announced he will remove his name from the National Basketball Association Draft and return to Villanova for his final season of eligibility in 2024-25.
 
"Thank you to all the NBA teams that invited me out for workouts and attended my pro day," stated Dixon. "I learned a lot going through this process and received great feedback on my game. I am excited to take the advice with me as I further strengthen my skill set at Villanova University. More importantly, I'm ready to handle some unfinished business with my Villanova Basketball Family."
 
In four active seasons with the 'Cats, Dixon, 6-8, has scored 1,499 points and collected 724 rebounds across 127 games, including 106 starts. He is one of only 12 players in program history to record 1,400 or more points and 700 or more caroms. Last season, he led the Wildcats in scoring (16.6 points per game) and rebounding (5.7 rebounds per outing) while earning second team All-BIG EAST honors for the second year in a row.
 
"Eric handled this process with great maturity and thought," stated Villanova head coach Kyle Neptune. "We're obviously thrilled that he will be returning to lead our team in 2024-25. Throughout his time here, Eric's work ethic, intelligence and skill have allowed him to improve every year. In our minds, he's one of the top basketball players in the country and a cornerstone of our program."
