VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova today released the non-conference portion of its 2026-27 Men's Basketball schedule. The complete Villanova schedule will be released in September in conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference release of its slate.
 
As announced last spring, the Wildcats will open the 2026-27 regular season one day ahead of the rest of college basketball on Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Eternal City Tip-Off in Rome against Notre Dame. The men's game will be followed by a women's game between the Wildcats and Fighting Irish.
 
The Eternal City Tip-Off is just the first in a series of intriguing intersectional match-ups that are part of the Wildcats' schedule. 2026 NCAA champion Michigan visits Villanova on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Later that week, Nova will travel to historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse to meet Kansas. The two teams last met at the 2022 NCAA Final Four in New Orleans.
 
A trio of Philadelphia Big Five match-ups highlight the decades long tradition of the City Series. Villanova hosts La Salle at Finneran Pavilion on Tuesday, Nov. 10 and meets Temple in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The Big Five Classic will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
 
Villanova will be at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, Dec. 12 to meet Wisconsin in the previously announced Philly Hoops Showdown.
 
Additional on-campus game dates at Finneran Pavilion include the regular season home opener on Friday, Nov. 6 vs. Holy Cross; Saturday, Nov. 14 vs. Rider; Tuesday, Nov. 24 vs. Coppin State and Wednesday, Dec. 9 vs. FDU. The Wildcats will visit former BIG EAST rival Pitt on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
 
Villanova will also host two of its three October exhibition contests at Finneran Pavilion, including Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. George Mason and Thursday, Oct. 22 vs. Virginia. The Wildcats will open exhibition play at Rutgers on Sunday, Oct. 11.
 
Game times will be announced at a later date.
