Nine Home Dates Highlight 2024 Men's Soccer Fall Slate

Villanova to kick off regular season vs. St. Peter's on Aug. 22

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova head coach Mark Fetrow and his staff today announced its 2024 fall schedule.

"Our Villanova Men's Soccer Program is excited to release our 2024 Fall Schedule," Fetrow, a former VU associate head coach to Tom Carlin who will enter his first season at the helm this fall, stated. "Our staff worked hard to create a competitive non-conference schedule that will help us prepare for an always challenging Big East Conference.

"We are looking forward to testing out players' limits throughout the season. Regardless of our opponent, our focus will be on our collective effort and playing a brand of futbol we are proud of.  It's not about who we play, rather how we play."

The Wildcats will host nine regular season matches on their home pitch at the Higgins Soccer Complex on Villanova's West Campus. The first of those is the regular season opener on Thursday, Aug. 22 vs. St. Peter's at 4 p.m.

BIG EAST play kicks off on Friday, Sept. 15 when Marquette comes to Higgins for a conference clash that begins just after 4 p.m. Other BIG EAST home matchups include visits from UConn (Friday, Oct. 4); Georgetown (Wednesday, Oct. 23) and Providence (Saturday, Oct. 26). The Wildcats will make their first BIG EAST trip to Akron on Saturday, Oct. 12. The teams last met on the Zips' home turf in the opening round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

Additional home dates for Nova include battles with Philly Soccer Six rivals Penn (Tuesday, Sept. 24) and Drexel (Tuesday, Oct. 29) along with non-league battles vs. Lafayette (Saturday, Sept. 7) and Columbia (Tuesday, Oct. 8).

Villanova will make a Labor Day weekend visit to Michigan to meet Michigan State (Friday, Aug. 30) and Western Michigan (Monday, Sept. 2).
