VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova today released its 2024-25 non-conference Men's Basketball schedule.
Head coach
Kyle Neptune enters his third season at the helm of the Wildcats with the regular season opener vs. Lafayette on Monday, Nov. 4. The Wildcats host Columbia and NJIT later that week before opening Philadelphia Big Five competition at Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Villanova hosts Big Five foe Penn on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The first of two neutral site contests is set for Friday, Nov. 15 when Villanova meets Virginia at the Hall of Fame Series Baltimore at CFG Bank Arena. The second neutral site affair takes place on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. as Maryland and the Wildcats meet in the showcase matchup of the Empire Classic.
The Wildcats will host Cincinnati on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle and then compete in the Big Five Classic at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, Dec. 7. The opponent for that matchup will be determined by the results of the on-campus Big Five games.
A charity exhibition game to benefit Team Impact will also be part of the 2024-25 non-league lineup. The Wildcats will welcome Robert Morris on Sunday, Oct. 27. All non-conference home games, including the exhibition game, will be hosted on campus at Finneran Pavilion. Villanova's home dates at the Wells Fargo Center will be included in the complete 2024-25 regular season schedule, expected to be announced in mid-September.
