BIG EAST Schedule Release: Wildcats 2024-25 Slate is Set

Villanova opens BIG EAST play on Dec. 17 vs. Seton Hall

VILLANOVA, Pa. – With Thursday's announcement of the full BIG EAST Men's Basketball schedule, Villanova's complete 2024-25 schedule is set. As previously announced the Wildcats open the new season at Finneran Pavilion vs. Lafayette on Monday, Nov. 4 and will also kick off the 20-game conference slate on campus vs. Seton Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Game times and broadcast television information will be announced later this month.

As part of today's announcement, Villanova identified the four games it will host in 2024-25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia: Jan. 17 vs. Providence; Feb. 1 vs. Creighton; Feb. 9 vs. Xavier; and Feb. 21 vs. Marquette.

Two-time NCAA national champion Connecticut will make just its second appearance at Finneran Pavilion since 1995 – and first with fans present – on Jan. 8. The Wildcats downed UConn 68-60 on Feb. 20, 2021, in a season played largely in empty arenas during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Wildcats will host these BIG EAST opponents at Finneran Pavilion: DePaul (Jan. 4); Georgetown (Jan. 20); St. John's (Feb. 12); and Butler (March 1). Former BIG EAST rival Cincinnati will also visit Villanova's campus home on Tuesday, Dec. 3 as part of the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle.

Villanova will play its first BIG EAST road contest on Dec. 21 at Creighton. It wraps up the regular season on March 4 at Georgetown.

For those seeking an early look at the Wildcats, there are a pair of October events set. On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the program will host the annual Blue/White Scrimmage and on Sunday, Oct. 27 a charity exhibition game vs. Robert Morris will be held at Finneran Pavilion.

William B. Finneran Endowed Head Coach Kyle Neptune enters his third season at the helm in 2024-25. The Wildcats will be led by returning standouts Eric Dixon and Jordan Longino alongside a group of exciting newcomers that includes transfers Enoch Boakye, Jhamir Brickus, Kris Parker, Tyler Perkins and Wooga Poplar.
