RICHMOND, VA. – For the second time in the first three weeks of the 2024 season, Villanova redshirt freshman running back Isaiah Ragland (Alexandria, Va.) has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week.
In Saturday's 14-13 win over Towson, Ragland rushed 17 times for a career-high 141 yards for an average of 8.3 yards per carry. In the third quarter, he registered a 65-yard run that set-up the Wildcats' go-ahead touchdown. This was the rookie's second career 100-yard rushing game.
After three games, Ragland has carried 36 times for 264 yards (7.3 avg.) and two touchdowns.
Ragland and the Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21, with a road game at the University of Maryland. Kickoff is set for noon and the game can be seen live on the Big 10 Network.
