The Wildcats Are Set To Play A 30 Game Slate

VILLANOVA, PA. – Villanova University head women's basketball coach Denise Dillon today announced the team's 2024-25 schedule. The Wildcats will play 18 BIG EAST games and 12 non conference contests this season, including three games in the Battle for Atlantis Tournament and three Philadelphia Big 5 games.

The season starts at home against Wake Forest on Sunday, Nov. 10. Following a road game at Princeton on Nov. 13, the Wildcats will host Columbia (Nov. 16) and Penn (Nov. 20) to conclude a stretch of three straight games versus Ivy League competition.

Villanova will travel to the Bahamas from Nov. 23-25 to participate in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. The Wildcats first round opponent in the tournament will be Texas A&M. The other six teams in the field include Baylor, North Carolina, Columbia, Southern Mississippi, Ohio State and Drake.

On Dec. 6, Villanova will host the Philadelphia Big 5 Women's Classic tripleheader with the game pairings to be determined by the regular season results.

The Wildcats will play two of their final three non-conference games on the road beginning with a trip to Fairfield on Dec. 8. After playing at Delaware on Dec. 11, Villanova closes out the non- conference portion of its schedule with a home game against James Madison on Dec. 15.

Villanova will play all of the BIG EAST conference opponents on a home and home basis with the exception of Providence and Seton Hall. The Wildcats will play each of those two opponents once with a game at Providence and the Pirates visiting the Finneran Pavilion.

The Wildcats are coming off a 2023-24 season where they went 22-13 overall and 11-7 in BIG EAST play. The Wildcats earned a bid to the WBIT last year where they advanced to the championship game.
