NEW YORK – The Villanova backfield was represented on this week's BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as
Hannah Dickinson and
Olivia Neal landed spots on the list.
These accolades bring the Wildcats to seven weekly honor roll spots this season and three in the last two weeks. Neal has been an honor roll recipient a team-high three times this season with Dickinson now at two.
Dickinson anchored the Blue and White defense in a 1-1 week, logging 180 minutes between the posts. She accounted for 17 saves and three goals allowed, picking up her fourth solo shutout in the team's 2-0 win at Creighton. She grabbed all eight of Creighton's shots that came on frame in the contest. Sunday, she made nine saves in the 3-0 loss to No. 21 Xavier, her second most of the season.
Neal was also a starter for the 'Cats in both contests this past week, accounting for 163 minutes of action. She played all 90 minutes on the pitch in the team's clean sheet win over Creighton while playing for 73 on Sunday.
The defensive duo have helped Villanova to five shutouts this year, the most for a Villanova team in a single season since the 2019 squad had eight.
They join the rest of the 'Cats back on the pitch Thursday as the team hosts DePaul at 4 p.m.
