NEW YORK, N.Y. - Villanova Women's Lacrosse team have been projected to finish third in the BIG EAST Preseason poll released on Wednesday.
After back-to-back appearances in the BIG EAST conference tournament the last two seasons, the Wildcats are voted to make a showing this year as well.
Jill Batcheller's team earned a total of 24 points and one first place vote. All five All-BIG EAST honored 'Cats will be returning this season, including reigning Freshman of the Year
Mary Moore and two-time first teamer
Sydney Pappas.
The Preseason All-BIG EAST Team for 2025 has four Wildcats on it. Moore, Pappas and sophomore draw specialist
Emma Verhoest were named unanimous selections, and
Maddy Stoddard earned mention on the 17-person team.
The team will start their season on February 8
th against Binghamton. BIG EAST play will begin on March 22 against UConn.
