Villanova returns home on Wednesday evening to take on the Princeton Tigers from the Ivy League. The Wildcats enter play with a 2-1 record, while the Tigers are 1-0 on the young season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

In the history of the program, the Wildcats have registered a 71-14 (.835) all-time record against teams from the Ivy League. The 71-14 record includes 47-3 versus Penn, 13-9 against Princeton, 3-0 versus Harvard, 2-0 against Dartmouth, 2-1 versus Brown, 2-1 against Columbia and 1-0 against both Cornell and Yale.

The Wildcats are coming off a 70-38 win over VCU in a game played in Toronto on Sunday afternoon. In the victory, Jasmine Bascoe led Villanova with 17 points to go with five rebounds and four assists. Brooke Bender came off the bench to tally 16 points and Denae Carter finished with 12 points. Carter was 5-of-6 from the field. For the game, Villanova was 30-of-64 (46.9%) from the field, 11-of-25 from three-point range (44.0%) and 3-of-5 from the foul line (60.0%).

Princeton played its season opener on Sunday where they tallied a 67-61 road win at Georgia Tech. Fadima Tall led four Tigers in double figures with 16 points.

Bascoe and Bender were both honored for their performance in three games last week with Bascoe earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, and Bender was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Week. Bascoe averaged 19.9 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per contests and 3.3 assists per game in the three games, while Bender averaged 9.3 points per game, while shooting .647 from the field (11-of-17) and .545 from three-point range (6-of-11).
