NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference announced the six major award winners for the 2025 men's soccer season on Wednesday.

Villanova's Michael teDuits, who contributed a goal and five assists while appearing in all 18 games for the Wildcats, was tabbed Third Team All-BIG EAST.

Akron 's senior forward Stefan Dobrijevic has been voted the 2025 BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, while the Zips redshirt senior Mitch Budler defends his title as the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year.  Georgetown senior midfielder Zach Zengue has been unanimously selected Midfielder of the Year while the Georgetown staff earned BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Seton Hall senior defender Agustin Resch garnered BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year accolades. Rounding out the major awards, St. John's midfielder Guilherme Gomes was voted the league's Freshman of the Year.

Leading the Zips with 25 points, Dobrijevic was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year. It marks the third consecutive season a Zip has collected the major award, with Jason Shokalook garnering the honor in 2023 and Emil Jaaskelainen in 2024.

Overall, Dobrijevic enters Thursday's BIG EAST semifinal contest with the second most points (25) in the BIG EAST, tallying eight goals and nine assists in 17 regular season games. In eight conference matches, Dobrijevic ranked second in the league with 16 points and six goals, while ranking third with four assists.

A scoring threat all season long, Zengue leads the BIG EAST in goals (13), assists (9) and points (35). The senior midfielder also ranks among the top 15 nationally in multiple categories. Zengue ranks tied for third in points per game (2.06), tied for seventh in goals per game (0.76) and tied for 14th in assists per game (0.53). In eight league games, he tallied seven goals and dished out five assists to lead the conference with 19 points.

Resch anchored a Pirate defense that combined for eight shutouts over 17 regular season games. Resch has played 1,473 out of a possible 1,530 minutes thus far for Seton Hall and helped limit opponents to just 66 shots on goal and a .081 shot percentage. Offensively, using his 6-6 frame on set pieces, Resch scored a pair of goals, as well as dished out a trio of assists during the regular season.

Budler has yet to step off the pitch in 2025, playing all 1,530 minutes in 17 regular season games to lead the nation's sixth ranked scoring defense (0.588). Garnering BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year honors for a second consecutive season, Budler is tied for first nationally with 11 shutouts. The senior netminder owns an 11-3-3 (0.735) record and the Zips have outscored their opponents 27-10. Budler has 37 saves and a .787 save percentage.

Just three games into his collegiate career, Gomes caught the attention of his peers when he earned National Player of the Week accolades following a four-goal performance against New Hampshire. Overall, making 16 starts and appearing in all 17 matches, Gomes led the Red Storm with eight goals and 18 points, while playing 1,409 minutes.

Brian Wiese and the Georgetown coaching staff picked up their eighth BIG EAST honor. In 2025, the Hoyas have claimed the BIG EAST East Division Regular Season title and the top-overall seed in the BIG EAST Championship, capping league play 6-0-2 and 10-3-4 overall. Currently ranked 15th in the United Soccer Coaches poll, Georgetown will face Providence Thursday in the semifinal of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by JEEP.

Announced alongside the regular season awards were the 2025 All-Conference teams. The All-BIG EAST First and Second Teams are positional with three forwards, three midfielders, three defenders, a goalkeeper and an at-large vote. The All-BIG EAST Third Team is made up of at least 11 at-large bids.
