NEW YORK - Villanova women's lacrosse earn two BIG EAST Weekly awards as announced on Monday evening. Sydney Pappas is named BIG EAST Attacker of the week, while Emma Verhoest is named BIG EAST Midfielder of the week.

The New York native made huge waves in Villanova's games against Lafayette and Columbia, racking in eight goals and four assists. Against the Leopards, she helped the Wildcats to a victory of 16-5  with three goals and four assists and a ground ball. In the game against Columbia, she got five goals and is now the leader of goals scored in program history.

Verheost had strong showing in the circle of both games, totaling 12 draw controls against Lafayette and 16 against Columbia, this ties her own school record of draw controls in one game.
