NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference announced the bracket for 2025 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament presented by JEEP on Sunday evening. Villanova (17-12 overall/ 11 -7 BIG EAST) earned the 5-seed and will take on 4-seed Marquette (20-9 overall/ 12-6 BIG EAST) at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, in the quarterfinal round.
 
The BIG EAST Tournament is set for March 7-10 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., marking the fifth year the conference postseason will be held at Mohegan Sun. All 11 teams qualify for the conference postseason, with the top five teams in the final regular-season standings receiving first-round byes. The winner of the BIG EAST Tournament receives the league's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
 
This is the second year in a row that Villanova and Marquette will meet in the 4/5 game. Last year. 5-seeded Marquette earned a 50-49 win over 4-seeded Villanova.
