PHILADELPHIA – Villanova University graduate student
Eric Dixon has been named the 2024-25 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Basketball Performer of the Year.
Dixon headlines the six student-athlete team which is voted on by the sports communications offices of the institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Dixon, a native of Willow Grove, Pa., earned All-America honors and was a unanimous First Team BIG EAST All-Conference honoree in 2024-25. He set the school scoring record with 2,314 points and became just the second Villanova player to lead the nation in scoring (23.3 ppg), joining All-American Paul Arizin (1950-51). Dixon earned his bachelor's degree from Villanova in 2024 and is scheduled to earn his graduate certificate in Business Administration this spring. owns a 3.855 cumulative grade point average while majoring in English.
