VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova University men's tennis team fell to Saint Joseph's, 4-1, on Wednesday afternoon (April 2) at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
In doubles, Villanova's top two doubles flights each fell by a score of 6-2, clinching the doubles point for the Hawks.
Kush Anand and
Thomas Wakefield were tied in the third flight, 4-4, when their match was called early.
In singles,
Cooper Gordon claimed a win over Justus Agbo in the top flight, 6-1, 6-0. However, three more Wildcats fell in straight sets further down the card, clinching the 4-1 win for Saint Joseph's.
Up next, Villanova will host Lafayette on Friday (April 4) at the Villanova Tennis Complex in Villanova, Pa. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
