VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova has landed six 'Cats on this year's Academic Swimming and Diving All-District team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Patrick Hemingway and Nick Jubilee are repeat honorees with
Anna Farley,
Arabella Lee,
Justin Nowicki and
Meghan Tiernan earning their first accolades from the organization.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Of the Wildcats on the list, Farley, Jubilee and Lee were all selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 22, 2025 (women) and April 23, 2025 (men).
Farley logged five All-BIG EAST swims this season. She was a part of the BIG EAST Champion 800 Free Relay team while picking up silver medals in the 200 Fly and 200 IM and bronze medals with the 400 Medley and 400 Free Relay teams. The sophomore Spanish Language major had 18 top-three finishes this season with seven individual wins and two relay victories. She is second in program history for the 100 Fly (53.65) and 200 Fly (1:58.37) and owns three of the program's 10 fastest times in the 100 Fly.
Jubilee has been honored by the CSC in back-to-back years now. The senior nursing major had four wins with 13 top-three showings throughout the year before winning the BIG EAST title in the 3-meter, the first for the program since 2021. His winning score of 370.85 in the finals secured the gold and became the program record for the event. He went on to perform in the Zone A Diving Championships where he landed 36
th in the 3-meter prelims (258.60) and 30
th in the 1-meter prelims (257.85).
Lee, a nursing major, earns her first nod from the CSC after a season that saw her repeat as the BIG EAST Champion in the 100 Fly while adding two other All-BIG EAST performances to her ledger in the 100 Back and 400 Medley Relay. She set a new program record in the 100 Fly with a 53.13 time to win gold, giving her four of the top 10 times in the event for Villanova. The junior picked up 10 individual wins throughout the year with eight victories, adding three relay wins.
This latest honor marks Hemingway's second from the CSC, landing a spot on the All-District list after the 2022-23 season. He swam in every meet this season with 11 top-three finishes, three of those being wins, and was a part of four winning relays. He picked up a pair of BIG EAST bronze medals with the 200 Free and 400 Free relays, earning his first All-BIG EAST performances of his career. The senior Communications major reset the program record in the 50 Free with a 20.41 at the BIG EAST Championships. He also owns four of the team's top 10 times in the 100 Free.
Nowicki, a sophomore Computer Engineering major, was the BIG EAST Champion in the 400 IM, winning by two-hundredths of a second with a program-best time of 3:49.61. He earned All-BIG EAST status in the 400 IM and 200 Fly and now holds four of the team's top 10 times in the 200 Fly, all in the top six spots of the list. This year he had six wins in 18 top-three performances through the regular season and moved into the program's top performers list for the 200 Fly (second), 100 IM (fourth), 200 IM (third) and 400 IM (first).
Tiernan was an All-BIG EAST performer in the 200 and 400 IM, earning bronze in both events. The sophomore Biochemistry major notched six wins in her 13 top-three finishes throughout the season.
