VILLANOVA, Pa. - Philadelphia native
Wooga Poplar, who spent the 2024-25 season at Villanova, has agreed to sign with the Chicago Bulls according to published reports. The news was originally reported by Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express.
Poplar spent his first three seasons of college at the University of Miami before transferring to his hometown prior to his senior season. In his one season in the Blue and White, the 6-5 guard averaged 15.3 points per game and led the squad in rebounds at 7.0 rpg. He also connected on .387 of his attempts from beyond the 3-point arc. He was named third team All-BIG EAST.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-way non-guaranteed deal with NBA franchises. It can be converted into a two-way contract, of which NBA teams may have as many as three. Poplar's former teammate,
Eric Dixon, agreed to a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers earlier on Friday. Those Exhibit 10 contract players who spend at least 60 days in the G League can earn a bonus of $75,000.
Those eligible players not selected in the 2025 NBA Draft - which concluded last night - may then ink free agent deals with any franchise.
