VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova Wildcats will play a preseason exhibition game at the University of Virginia on Friday, Oct. 24, it was announced today.
 
Both teams are led by new head coaches. Kevin Willard was named the William B. Finneran Endowed Head Coach of the Wildcats in March while Ryan Odom is the new leader of the Cavaliers.
 
This will be the Wildcats' second official appearance at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers posted an 86-75 win over the 'Cats on Dec. 19, 2015. It was one of only five losses (35-5) the Wildcats would suffer that season on their way to the 2016 NCAA national championship. The Wildcats were also the 2018 NCAA national champions while Virginia claimed the 2019 NCAA national title.
