VILLANOVA, Pa. – A trio of intersectional battles, three historic rivalry matchups in the Philadelphia Big Five and the inaugural Villanova Challenge highlight the 2025-26 Villanova Men's Basketball Non-Conference schedule announced today.
The hoops preparation kicks off in earnest in October with a pair of preseason tune-ups, the first of which takes place at Finneran Pavilion. The Wildcats will host an exhibition contest vs. VCU on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. and then travel to meet Virginia on Friday, Oct. 24 in Charlottesville at 7 p.m.
Villanova opens regular season play in the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas, on Monday, Nov. 3. It will then kick off the home portion of its slate with three games in the Villanova Challenge: Saturday, Nov. 8 vs. Queens; Tuesday, Nov. 11 vs. Sacred Heart and Saturday, Nov. 15 vs. Duquesne. Each of those games will be at Finneran Pavilion.
The Wildcats visit LaSalle to open Big Five play on Wednesday, Nov. 19 before returning to Finneran Pavilion to host Old Dominion on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Temple visits the Villanova campus on Monday, Dec. 1 ahead of the Big Five Classic later that week at the Wells Fargo Center.
The final three non-league matchups are all duels against major conference foes, beginning with a visit to Michigan on Tuesday, Dec. 9, followed by a Finneran Pavilion clash with former BIG EAST rival Patt on Saturday, Dec. 13. The non-league slate concludes on Friday, Dec. 19 vs. Wisconsin at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum in the Milwaukee Hoops Showdown.
Regular season game times and broadcast information will be announced later. The complete Wildcats 2025-26 schedule is expected to be revealed next month in conjunction with the announcement of the BIG EAST Conference schedule.
