The Roommates Show Homecoming Set For Sept. 17

Brunson and Hart to bring show to Finneran Pavilion to kickoff 2025-26 basketball season

VILLANOVA, Pa. – A pair of Wildcats' legends are bringing their popular The Roommates Show podcast to the venue where they first teamed up. New York Knicks standouts Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart will host their podcast at Finneran Pavilion on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.

The event is open to the public and will serve as the official 2025-26 kickoff for the Villanova Men's and Women's Basketball seasons. Prior to the taping of the podcast, both teams will be introduced and there will be a series of interactive on-court activities including 3-point and dunk contests along with assorted games among student participants. Head coaches Denise Dillon and Kevin Willard will be interviewed as the countdown to opening night gets underway in earnest.

The Roommates Show has quickly become one of the most popular downloads available in the sports and entertainment space since its inception in 2024. Hosted by Brunson, Hart, and entrepreneur Matt Hillman, its guests have included Knick teammates Karl Anthony-Towns and fellow VU alumnus Mikal Bridges, NBA owners James Dolan and Mark Cuban, former Sopranos star Edie Falco, musical artist Lil' Wayne and WNBA star A'ja Wilson.

The Roommates Show is expected to announce a special guest with ties to Philadelphia to appear on this episode in the coming days.

Tickets to this one-time event will be available for purchase at villanova.com and the link at the top of this page. Admission is free for current Villanova students via the same Student Ticket Lottery used for regular season home games.

Brunson and Hart were Villanova teammates from 2015-17 and two of the most decorated players in program history. Brunson was a starter on both the Wildcats' 2016 and 2018 national championship teams, becoming just the second Villanova player (Paul Arizin) to earn national player of the year honors in 2017-18. Hart, whose Wildcat career began in 2013, was a consensus All-American and winner of the Julius Erving Award in his final season of 2016-17.

The Villanova Men will begin the basketball portion of their 2025-26 campaign with an exhibition game vs. VCU at Finneran Pavilion on Sunday, Oct. 19. The regular season opens on Monday, Nov. 3 in the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas vs. BYU.

The Villanova Women host Towson in an exhibition game at Finneran Pavilion on Friday, Oct. 24 (6 p.m.) and then start regular season play there on Wednesday, Nov. 3 vs. Lafayette at 7 p.m.
