VILLANOVA, Pa. – In conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference's announcement of its 20-game league schedule, the complete 2025-26 Villanova Men's Basketball schedule is now finalized. Last month, Villanova released an 11-game non-conference slate that begins with the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas game on Monday, Nov. 3 vs. BYU.
New William B. Finneran Endowed Head Coach
Kevin Willard will lead the Wildcats into BIG EAST play in a familiar venue, the Prudential Center in Newark, on Dec. 23 against Seton Hall, the program he led for 12 seasons (2010-22). Villanova will open the home portion of its conference slate on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31, when DePaul visits Finneran Pavilion.
January features a packed lineup of league games, highlighted by the first of two regular season home games that the Wildcats will host at the newly renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena (formerly Wells Fargo Center) in Philadelphia. St. John's will be the opponent on Saturday, Jan. 17 and Connecticut will face the 'Cats in South Philadelphia on Saturday, Feb. 21. Villanova will also be at the arena for the final round of the Big Five Classic on Saturday, Dec. 6 (opponent TBD).
Among the opponents the Wildcats will host at Finneran Pavilion in the 2026 portion of their slate includes Creighton (Jan. 7); Georgetown (Jan. 21); Providence (Jan. 30); Seton Hall (Feb. 4); Marquette (Feb. 10); Butler (Feb. 25) and Xavier (March 7).
The action all kicks off with a Finneran Pavilion exhibition contest on Sunday, Oct. 19, vs. VCU.
A celebration for the new season comes next Wednesday night when the 2025-26 Men's and Women's Basketball teams ahead of the Roommates Podcast Homecoming featuring Nova legends Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart at Finneran Pavilion.
