• Hailey Adamsky is one of three Quakers with a team-high two goals on the season. The sophomore striker has found the back of the net in back-to-back games and leads the team with five points, adding an assist to her stat line in the season-opening win over Mount St. Mary's.
• Penn has defended its home pitch to the tune of a 3-0-1 record, allowing just one goal that came in the first 17 seconds of their most recent win over Saint Joseph's on Thursday night. The Quakers went on to score two unanswered goals in that one with the game-winner coming from Adamsky in the 80th minute.

• Villanova and Penn have met 20 times before today with Villanova holding a 14-3-3 lead in the series that stretches back to 1983. The Wildcats have gone three matches against the Quakers with an unbeaten record, recording two draws before last year's 1-0 victory at home.
• The Wildcats have gone 6-2-2 when making the trip to Philly in the all-time series. They have not seen a win at Penn since a 3-2 victory on Sept. 12, 2008, going 0-2-1 in such contests since then.

Facing the Ivy League: Villanova is 31-23-9 against the Ivy League all-time. This will be the final of three meetings with the Ivy League this season, going 1-1 so far with a 1-0 win over Columbia on August 24 and a 1-0 loss at Princeton on Thursday. This will be the ninth time Villanova has faced an Ivy League team in fourth-year head coach Samar Azem’s tenure, going 2-2-4 in that time. The ‘Cats say a fivematch unbeaten streak against the conference be snapped in the loss to Princeton three nights ago, marking the first loss to an Ivy League team since a 1-02 loss at Cornell on Sept. 4, 2022.

On the Open Road: Villanova is on the road nine times in 2025, currently 1-2 away from the Main Line this year. With head coach Samar Azem at the helm, Villanova has gone 8-14-7 away in road games.

Shutting It Down: With three clean sheets on the year, Hannah Dickinson has landed herself in a tie for 34th nationally for shutouts and tied for first among BIG EAST keepers. As a defensive unit, the Wildcats are tied for first in the league with four shutouts this season and are tied for 27th nationally with a .571 shutout percentage that is good enough for 33rd.

Clean Sheet Commentary: Villanova’s four shutout wins pushed the ‘Cats to 19 clean sheets in the Samar Azem era. Since 2022, the Wildcats have gone 15-0-4 when not conceding a goal. Senior keeper Hannah Dickinson has registered all three solo shutouts on the year, bringing her to nine total as a Wildcat. Her and Allie Vincent put in a combined effort during the Sept. 7 clean sheet over Lehigh.

Villanova saw its four-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday night. The 60th minute penalty kick was the first goal Villanova had allowed in 462:40 minutes of play since August 21. The 'Cats held Princeton scoreless until the 59:14 mark and could not get an answer down the stretch. Villanova was outshot 18-10 in the defeat, led by a four-shot performance from Amalia Cardo to match her career high for attempts. In net, Hannah Dickinson made five saves, one away from tying her season high.
